I recently bought this game again and just instantly remembered how amazing it really is. It started off as a Resident Evil game, but became it’s own. I really love how this game still retains the horror atmosphere and even still plays like Resident Evil. I’m playing it on the Xbox 360 in HD. Enjoy! 😀

Game Information

The story begins in 1560 with a cinematic sequence set during a Battle of Okehazama between the forces of Imagawa Yoshimoto and Nobunaga of the Oda clan, with Samanosuke participating in fighting on Yoshimoto’s side. As Oda clan’s victory seems imminent, Nobunaga laughs until a stray arrow pierces his throat. A year later Samanosuke receives a letter from his cousin Princess Yuki of the Saitō clan. In the letter, Yuki says that maids and servants have been disappearing and she suspects monsters to be the culprit and also request that Samanosuke saves her from the castle before she ends up as one of the victims. Samanosuke and Kaede arrive at the castle but they’re too late to rescue Yuki. The last scene shows an army of Oda soldiers marching on with a pale but living Nobunaga leading them on a horse.

The game begins as Samanosuke and Kaede split up and head to the keep. Samanosuke soon finds some Genma creatures with an unconscious Princess Yuki. However, as the heroes have a brief reunion, a gigantic genma Osric emerges from the ground. Samanosuke attempts to defend Yuki, but is sent flying against the wall. As he lies unconscious, he is visited by the twelve Oni, who give Samanosuke the power to destroy the genma and absorb their souls with a mystical gauntlet.

Onimusha: Warlords was ported to the Xbox in 2002 under the title Genma Onimusha. It was announced by Capcom in May 2001 with the company expecting to be released by late 2001. The Xbox version contains many updates to the game including enhanced graphics, new 5.1 Dolby Digital audio, new explorable areas, a new boss, new costumes and body armor, changes in enemy placements, and a three-tier charge attack to each weapon.

Additionally, the addition of green souls adds a new dimension to the game. When five green souls are in the player’s possession, the player can activate temporary invulnerability with a slow health recharge. Players frequently have to enter tug-of-war scenarios with the enemies over the possession of green souls; if a green soul is absorbed by a demon, the demon will gain new attacks and they will also see a dramatic increase in their defense. They will also release a greater number of souls upon death.

Capcom is bringing the original Onimusha: Warlords to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One next year, the publisher announced today.

The re-release of Onimusha: Warlords, due on on January 15, 2019, will include high-definition graphics, widescreen support, a new control scheme designed for analog sticks and a new soundtrack. Capcom also promises a “readily available” easy mode option.

On the PlayStation Blog, Capcom community manager Andy Wong said that Onimusha fans who like it old school will have the option to control the game as it was originally designed, and that Onimusha: Warlords’ fixed camera angles will remain intact. The game’s camera will also pan across scenes in widescreen mode.

Onimusha: Warlords will be available digitally for $19.99. Capcom will also release the game physically for PS4 and Xbox One.

Originally released in 2001, Onimusha: Warlords stars the samurai Samanosuke Akechi and ninja Kaede on a mission to save Princess Yuki from demons who serve the evil lord Nobunaga Oda. The first Onimusha was originally developed as a spinoff of Capcom’s Resident Evil series, but eventually grew into its own franchise, spawning a trio of direct sequels and spinoffs, like fighting game Onimusha Blades and strategy RPG Onimusha Tactics.

Oni Spirit Guide | Faster way to beat|Ogre Savior|Unlock Ultimate Mode – Onimusha Warlords 鬼武者 (PS4)

Hi guys, sharing to each and everyone of you on how I manage to clear Oni Spirit in Onimusha Warlords under 4 minutes. This playthrough is also a guide on how get Ogre Savior Trophy and unlock Ultimate difficulty. Just follow my moves and you can also clear this. Enjoy!

About Ogre Savior Trophy
Complete all stages of Oni Spirits.
In order to unlock the Oni Spirits mini games you must complete the game with 20 Fluorite. Once you have unlocked Oni Spirits you can access the mini game from the Main Menu of the game by selecting ‘Extras’ under ‘Load Game’. Oni Spirits is a mini game and a really difficult one at that. The object of the game is to destroy vases (which contain spirits) before the enemies have the opportunity to destroy them. During the time you are trying to destroy these vases you will continually lose health. At the beginning it states how many spirits and vases are in the level. Each spirit is a vase so if it says you need to destroy 5 vases and there are 5 spirits it means you need to destroy all 5 vases. There are a total of 12 levels you need to complete for this trophy, every level ends when either all vases are destroyed or Samanosuke runs out of health on that level. If you have destroyed the required amount of vases on the level and then ran out of health before destroying the remaining vases you will still able to proceed. Should you fail at any point in completing the requirements you will have to start over from the beginning.
